Aurrigo feature Pod-zero at British Science Festival

Hosted by the University of Warwick, the annual British Science Festival, which travels around the UK each year, took place last week. With the aim of the festival to ‘connect people with scientists, engineers, technologists, and social sciences’, and to give people the chance to ride in an autonomous pod.

On her second day in the job, Aurrigo’s new Marketing Assistant, Emily Matthews, attended the event alongside the Aurrigo team to give members of the public the chance to experience self-driving technology.

A driverless vehicle company based in Coventry has finished its first ever public autonomous trial in Canada, thereby creating opportunities for expansion of the company in to the North American market. Aurrigo, the autonomous driving company has collaborated with Ottawa L5 and the Kanata North Business Association to give more than 350 locals the chance to ride in two of its Pod Zero autonomous vehicles.

A Midlands-based driverless vehicle specialist has completed its first ever ‘public’ autonomous trial in Canada, opening up new opportunities for expansion in North America. Aurrigo has joined forces with the Ottawa L5 powered by Invest Ottawa and the Kanata North Business Association to give more than 350 local people the opportunity to ride in two of its Pod Zero autonomous vehicles at the Marches Golf Club in Ottawa.

Driverless vehicle manufacturer Aurrigo hopes to have teed up more overseas orders after completing a trial in Canada. The Coventry company used a golf club in Ottawa to demonstrate its technology across a route that included hills, a tunnel, narrow tree-covered bridges and many twists and turns.
