The aviation technology division was established in 2019 to exploit a niche, but global opportunity, for the introduction of automated airport vehicles and the supporting services both in consulting and operations. The company developed a first off, proof of concept baggage movement vehicle, which was trialed at Heathrow Terminal 5 by British Airways in 2019 leading to the 'Innovator Award' from the Heathrow Clean Vehicles Partnership in that year.

The autonomous technology division was established in 2016 to develop autonomous capabilities supported by the Group’s strong and extensive experience in the automotive division for vehicle engineering. It develops and manufactures autonomous vehicles and supporting systems from the “ground up." Aurrigo designs and manufactures 4-seat, and 10-seat autonomous vehicles, and autonomous baggage-handling dollies.

The automotive technology division which was established in 1993 develops and supplies a range of innovative design engineering support, product solutions, manufactured products and services to premium vehicle OEMs and global Tier 1 manufacturers. Products are designed, developed and manufactured in-house, operating against a backdrop of managing complex international supply chains and scheduled deliveries.
As we celebrate 30 years in automotive technology, we look back at the incredible innovations that have revolutionized how we move around. From vehicles with little or no electronic modules and software through to today’s hybrid and electric vehicles and now onto autonomous technology, our industry has come a long way since we first opened our doors.
But as we look to the future, we are filled with optimism about the next 30 years. The rise of autonomous technologies promises to transform transportation as we know it, making travel safer, more efficient, and more sustainable. And as we see the incredible advancements being made in aviation, we can only imagine what the future holds for our industry in automated baggage and cargo handling.
