What you will do
Working within the engineering department, you will be responsible for delivering hardware and/or software for multiple customer pro-jects in a timely manner and will support the business with maintaining credibility with the client base. You will be a person who looks into the detail of all issues with a view to keeping the overall programs on track across multiple clients, by making informed technical decisions to set the correct direction for others to follow. Being self-motivated and a confident enthusiastic communicator and having a strong tech-nical background will be essential. The role will be based out of our Head Office in Coventry and may require some travel to other sites when needed.
The Electronics Engineer will have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
• Overall responsibility for leading the successful delivery of ECU hardware and software, which are designed, implemented and validated by the wider team.
• Managing the timing of the overall development cycle of a project, from requirements assessment, designing, validation tests and a successful release to client.
• Managing internal or external stakeholders to deliver the hardware/software on time to each project, and where required engag-ing on technical issues to make informed decisions.
• Managing the validation to achieve the amount of test coverage required to allow for a ECU to be released.
• Daily technical decision making by considering input from various contributors and assessing the direction you need the system to take.
• Governance of issues raised to prioritise and allocate solutions to the correct programs to achieve the successful deployment of each platform to its stakeholders.
• Co-ordinating day to day cross functional engineering activities aligned to customer project timeline and deliverables.
• Documenting all project information following company defined protocols.
• Managing customer quality reports through processes like 8D, Is/Is not etc.
• Escalating/highlighting issues in a timely manner.
• Tracking all things which have gone wrong/well on all projects.
What we require:
• Degree in a related electrical or electronic engineering topic.
• Significant experience within automotive or other embedded products, including systems engineering requirements, Software engineering and validation of embedded software.
• Proficiency in C programming.
• Project Management experience.
• Experience of supporting projects end-to-end.
• Demonstrate success in advising stakeholders and managing customer expectations.
• Willingness to learn.

• Self-motivated
What we prefer from you
• Have minimum of three years experience in safety critical software design.
• Be able to demonstrate a strong technical background in the control methodology of mechanical systems, preferably in the au-tomotive industry.
• Be experienced in the design, simulation and implementation of system architecture and software strategies for volume produc-tion of automotive applications.
• Exposure to automotive project gateways
