What you will do
As an Autonomous Safety Driver at Aurrigo:
• You will drive autonomous vehicles, both in manual and autonomous modes, within the trial operating environments and alongside heavy machinery and high value assets
• You will review operational safety measures and will, with team assistance, ensure that the daily, weekly, and monthly operational checks are completed, and any issues raised
• You will, with team assistance, help to expand and document driver responsibilities and established procedures to aid in the training process for new personnel
• You will become proficient at using our onboard vehicle software to manage and monitor the autonomous driving of prototype vehicles in an operator capacity, and will be given the opportunity to work with the engineers on the design of the autonomous systems
• You will engage with project partners and contribute to demonstrations of the autonomous technology to visiting guests and dignitaries


What we require from you
• Class 3 Driving Licence or equivalent
• Experience driving and operating motor vehicles in a professional capacity
• Understanding of driving safety standards and why they are necessary
What we prefer from you
• Extensive experience driving and operating motor vehicles in an instructive / training role
• Class 2, 4 Driving Licenses (or equivalent), and any additional courses or accreditations obtained to show your proficiency in operating a range of vehicle types and sizes
• A keen interest / passion for autonomous vehicles and their role in the future of mobility
What skills we are looking for
• Strong reactionary skills to identify hazards and immediately take mitigating actions to eliminate / mitigate any risk to personnel and property
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and engage with interested parties and project stakeholders at demonstrations
• A collaborative work ethic to work with other members of the Vehicle Deployment Team to operate the vehicles, develop the vehicle control systems and improve vehicle safety.
