MARKET DRIVERS Aurrigo International plc Macro trends driving and supporting demand for Smart Airside Solutions Efficiency Labour shortages Reducing Carbon emissions Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the labour shortage issues faced by airlines and airports around the world have been well documented. Following mass layoffs during the pandemic, the industry has struggled to find skilled staff members at the same rate demand has picked back up.

Awareness around the capabilities and benefits of our automated technologies continues to rise as a clear solution to this problem.
Airports, like any business, are focused on running operations as efficiently as possible both to reduce costs, improve customer experience and protect margins.

We are therefore seeing a willingness to explore the benefits of automated and digitised airside logistics, thanks to the ‘from the ground up’ approach we take when working with customers and planning rollouts. As proof points from our trials emerge, we will be able to clearly demonstrate the efficiency ROI our customers will receive from our solutions
Global carbon reduction targets have been set by governments and organisations everywhere. There is a need to replace existing diesel-powered ground handling equipment with greener, low emission electric solutions, which our purpose built Tug’s are.

Existing baggage handling operations are heavily labour intensive with workers exposed to various risks while working airside including working around large, moving vehicles, flammable liquids and lifting heavy weights.

Aurrigo’s technologies dramatically reduce the number of people exposed to these risks and is capable of cutting out much of the heavy lifting currently required.
Airports operate in a highly standardised way. Routes are around the airside area are pre-determined with certain vehicles restricted to specific routes and locations. This lends itself to automated vehicles as day-to-day operations are both predictable and largely fixed, with times, places and routes mapped out well in advance of a planes arrival or departure. The markets for travel and cargo transport by air both continue to grow. Post Covid, passenger volumes on airlines globally continue to grow.

Furthermore, geopolitical issues impacting traditional freight shipping routes has led to a steady rise in the volumes of cargo being transported by air. Both of these trends point to an ever growing market where our solutions are both in demand and needed.
