About the role:
Aurrigo is a leading international provider of smart airside solutions and automotive products. Aurrigo designs, builds and deploys autonomous vehicles in the UK, Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America.

Aurrigo deploys autonomous vehicles in real-world environments and specialise in first and last mile transportation of goods, cargo and people.

We’re looking for autonomous vehicle safety operators to join our operations team, reporting to the Operations Manager. You’ll primarily be working at airports in the secure area after security search as well as some of our non-aviation projects e.g. on public city streets or private land such as leisure facilities.

Aurrigo International Inc is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, however, expect most of your time to be spent onsite at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). You may be requested to travel to our HQ in the UK or our North American HQ in Ottawa, Canada, and on occasion to our deployments in other parts of the USA, or in Singapore or Europe. All travel and accommodation is fully paid, along with all expenses.

You will be fully trained to operate the latest in autonomous vehicle technology, including our autonomous pods, shuttles, and the aviation equipment which is where you’ll spend most of your time.

What you will do
As an autonomous vehicle safety operator (airside), your typical day would be:
• Working at one of our airport partners.
• You’ll pass through staff security to the airport airside environment.
• Perform any routine maintenance and perform a daily or monthly safety check before setting out. You will also ensure the vehicle is clean and presentable.
• With reference to the work plan and daily briefing, you’ll be responsible for monitoring an autonomous baggage vehicle as it performs operations around the airport. This might include driving the airside roads, picking up passenger bags, loading an aircraft, or performing other tests alongside colleagues from the engineering team.
• You will record daily running data and report back to the project team.
• You will work in close partnership with stakeholders from the airport, ground handling agents, airlines, and other project partners.
• As well as monitoring autonomous driving, you’ll be responsible for manually driving the vehicle around for engineering, testing, or other purposes.
• Support customer and stakeholder demonstration events

What we require from you
• Ability to gain a full airside security pass which involves fingerprinting and security service vetting.
• Current and full US Drivers Licence with a minimum of 5 years driving experience, no more than 3 penalty points and no prior disqualifications or prior offences for dangerous driving, driving under the influence (DUI), etc.
• Access to a car with appropriate business use insurance.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to perform well under pressure.
• Perform with a high level of concentration over long periods of time.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge, e.g. how to change a wheel.
• Ability to travel and stay away from home for 2–3-week periods.
• Basic MS Office skills, e.g. MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.

What we prefer from you
• Previous airside experience for a ground support agent, airline, or airport.
• Previous experience driving e.g. forklift truck, pallet loaders, taxi, bus, HGV, etc.
• Interest in technology, computing, or automotive.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
